Rare danish modern table lamp from the ceramic workshop eva & johannes andersen. Made ca. 1960s.
the sculptural kalabas shaped lamp is decorated with a handpainted stripe decor which emphasizes the curved shape. The colors are a muted matte brown and rust brown on pale gray.
the decoration is either by eva or johannes andersen or by the danish ceramist kai klinge who also worked for the studio for a period. The decor resembles his style and colors.
the lamp is marked on bottom: e&j (for eva & johannes andersen) danmark and shape no. A68.
included is a new lampshade designed and made in denmark. It is made of woven fabric with some texture and it is off white. It has a top cover so it will spread a cozy light downwards.
