Wonderful set of 8 armchairs designed by Niels Jørgen Haugesen for Tranekaer in Denmark. Very smart and comfortable design. Because the 4 legs are configured with one leg in front, the person sitting on the chair can move his/her legs around freely. The backrest made of braided strings (hence the name) is very comfortable\. Made in mahogany and new upholstered with black pure full grain aniline leather. This piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
