A commanding vintage hand-carved hardwood sculpture depicting an Igorot warrior from the northern Philippines. This dynamic piece captures a moment of action, with the warrior stepping forward, spear raised, and shield poised for defense. The carving features expressive facial detail, traditional attire, and intricate shield iconography characteristic of Indigenous Filipino craftsmanship.
Carved from a single block of warm brown hardwood, the piece has impressive presence at 23 inches tall and nearly 9 inches deep, weighing over 8 lbs. The removable spear measures 16 inches long. No maker’s mark is present. Overall excellent vintage condition.
