This piece was used purely as décor for decades, giving it a remarkably clean, well-kept surface rarely found in early 19th-century desks.

The roll-top opens smoothly to reveal a fitted interior with small drawers, and the pull-out writing surface retains its original tooled leather. Elegant curved legs and refined proportions add to its graceful presence.

Purchased from The McNally Company Antiques (Rancho Santa Fe) in 1999. Original receipt included.
