A striking vintage hand-carved wooden lotus flower lamp, crafted in the Balinese / Indonesian tradition. This sculptural lamp features a beautifully carved lotus bud that opens to reveal a warm, ambient glow, with pierced petal details that allow light to softly radiate through the carving.
This lamp was originally a gift from a missionary to the original owner in the 1940s.
The lamp is carved entirely from solid wood, including the stem, leaves, and base, and showcases fine artisan detailing throughout. When illuminated, the layered petals create a dramatic and organic light pattern, making this piece both a functional lamp and a decorative art object.
Originally imported in the late 20th century, this style was popular in high-end global décor and boutique import shops. A perfect accent for bohemian, organic modern, eclectic, or collected interiors.
