This iconic table lamp was designed in 1968 by Belgian designer Christophe Gevers for the Brussels brasserie 'Le Cap d'Argent'. Each lamp was assembled by Gevers himself and has a slot at its base, intended to hold the menu. Originally produced exclusively for the restaurant in a bold red, it has since become a design classic.
This special edition is a limited and numbered reissue of only 10 copies, exclusively produced for Maison Moderniste in galvanized steel, following Gevers' original plans. The cold galvanization gives the lamp an industrial character, staying true to the raw, functional aesthetic, typical of Gevers' designs.
