Alpine pine wardrobe from piedmont, an 18th-century example of mountain folk art and craftsmanship. The piece is constructed with uprights and crosspieces, featuring careful joinery and an aged patina that highlights the natural grain of the wood.
the framed door, mounted on forged hinges, has a slightly recessed central panel. A wooden lock, likely added during a later restoration, allows the wardrobe to open and close. The front “accolade” base is cut with a scroll saw, a characteristic detail of alpine folk art furniture. The interior is fitted with two shelves.
