Made from professional-grade polyvinyl silicone—the same material used by dentists to take precise molds—each unit evokes a chewed gum fragment, though its origin lies in casts of repurposed condoms. In this piece, part of the Chicles series, Magán constructs a composition of visual noise and intimate texture. The alternating pink and gray elements suggest both candy and skin, desire and residue, playing with the viewer’s perception of beauty, disgust, and humor.
