Late 19th century French Louis XIV style open arm settee and open arm chairs. Constructed from old wood having fruitwood frames with gilt and verdigris finish, pierced bowknots at crests with acanthus leaf carving at the arms and allover geometric carving at frames and aprons on tapered stop fluted turned legs with acanthus leaf carving at the knees. Upholstery is pink and green striped silk with embroidered gold bees.
The dimensions given are those of the settee, the chairs are 25"wide, with 24" seat depth, 40"high at the back, seat and arm heights are the same as the settee.
