iconic "vp globe" pendant designed by verner panton in 1969 for louis poulsen (first production piece, early 1970s). The transparent pmma sphere is composed of two half-shells joined at the equator; inside, panton's micro-landscape of light unfolds: a sequence of aluminum deflectors with rolled edges—blue at the top and red at the bottom—suspended by metal chains, with a polished hourglass-shaped reflector at the center. The e27 lamp holder is positioned in the center: the light is not direct but bounces off the deflectors, offering a soft, enveloping emission. A lower spherical endpiece and a chrome-plated central stem complete the structure; the ceiling rose and wiring are from the period. Original, working electrical system.
