Her confident gaze and elegant styling reflect the cinematic sophistication of the time, captured with atmospheric precision by French photographer Roger Corbeau. The film, directed by Julien Duvivier, was partly produced by Regina Film, and this print testifies to the collaboration between French and German cinema post-WWII. About Photographer Roger Corbeau (1908–1995) Roger Corbeau was a French cinematographic stills photographer known for his refined visual style and psychological depth. Active mainly between the 1930s and 1970s, he worked with renowned directors including Jean Cocteau and Marcel Carné. His portraits often highlight emotion through contrast, shadow, and composition, making him one of France’s leading film photographers.
