A pair of super cool framed vintage abstract style still life paintings framed within forced perspective wooden frames, circa '50s. One of the paintings is simply signed "Nicholas" along the bottom edge, while the other does not appear to be signed (see photos), but they clearly appear to be done by the same person. The paintings appear to be oil done on a cardboard material.
Each frame has a wire hanging mechanism on the back side for hanging / display purposes. They've been well cared for by their previous owner.
MEASUREMENTS: The frames measure 14" long x 10" tall each (short side) x 2.75" deep.
The visible paintings, excluding the frames, each measure approx. 7.5" wide x 5.5” tall

The frames are structurally solid, and in very nice shape given their age - there are no chips, cracks, breaks, scratches, repairs, etc. Just a small amount of surface wear that one would expect from age and handling, along with some light wear and spotting. On one of the frames, there are what looks like some faint ink marks from a pen on the white border that directly surrounds the painting (see photo); it can most likely be touched up quite easily. less
