It … Read more This exceptional vintage impressive large gilt bronze mounted French Sevres porcelain covered urn dates from the late 19th century. It is painted in vivid robin's egg color blue & accented by hand rendered gold floral embellishments. The urn is decorated with two large hand painted panels of cherubs, signed by the artist Parrot. The "front" panel features cherubs at play while the rear showcases a solitary cherub playing a flute. This porcelain urn is highlighted by two magnificent sculpted gilt bronze handles depicting mythical gods adorned with ram horns. The urn is made up of three sections, the urn cover, body & base. Each of these is in excellent condition. The inside of the urn cover reveals the blue Sevres mark & a "Made in France" signature. See less
