The box is decorated with bronze hardware. Both lid cover & box rims are hinged together & create a working "snap" closing mechanism. The footed base bears no maker's marks. The French florals displayed are typical of the late 19th century era. Miniature hand painted butterflies are found within this floral motif & accent this stylish box perfectly.
