This vintage circa early 1900's sterling silver compote has a beautiful dimensional center panel depicting a sculpted & detailed cherub … Read more This vintage circa early 1900's sterling silver compote has a beautiful dimensional center panel depicting a sculpted & detailed cherub inspired celebrating the arrival of spring. The cherub, arms outstretched is seen beneath vines of flowers & is propped amongst a cluster of blooms. A circle of sweeping scrolled waves frames this center panel. A modified version of this scrolled decoration is found around the outer rim &, also, around the rim of the platform base. The under surface of the base is stamped "925/1000 fine", "sterling", "3228" & has a unicorn punch mark with the letter "M" contained within.
