This decorative 20th century Chinese garden seat is stylishly designed in a sturdy hard paste porcelain & was produced in China & imported to the United States after World War II. Two panels are beautifully & intriquitely hand painted depicting Chinese court life. The panels are surrounded by vividly colorful details of lotus blossoms & butterflies. Opposite these panels are two with pierced motifs that accent & complement the others featuring views of nightingales within a floral design.
