An elegant Paris porcelain teapot dating to around 1840, combining a gently scalloped profile with a turquoise ground and brightly painted floral reserves. The gold borders are neatly applied, framing each vignette in the lively manner associated with the Jacob Petit circle.
The underglaze pseudo-Sèvres stroke beneath the base is characteristic of mid-19th-century Paris workshops—small independent studios that produced expressive, hand-painted pieces rather than factory-standard porcelain. The form and palette integrate easily into both period and contemporary interiors.
