The fluted and reeded shaft features intricately carved asparagus motifs. The ornamentation is distinguished by sculpted laurel wreaths entwined around the shaft. A wide egg-and-dart frieze running along the base adds a touch of majesty to the whole.
The square, swiveling top is carved from sumptuous Aleppo Breccia marble, with warm, veined hues that contrast harmoniously with the depth of the wood and the brilliance of the bronze. This column, both functional and decorative, embodies the refinement of 19th-century decorative arts, ideal for showcasing a sculpture or a precious vase.
