This exceptional vintage Mayline four stack flat wood file cabinet is a rare and highly desirable storage piece, featuring 20 … Read more This exceptional vintage Mayline four stack flat wood file cabinet is a rare and highly desirable storage piece, featuring 20 wide shallow drawers, designed for maps, architectural drawings, artwork and large documents crafted from richly grained, solid oak wood, the cabinet displays beautiful natural patina developed over decades of use, giving it unmistakable character and authenticity. Each drawer is fitted with original sculpted wood poles evenly spaced in classic flat file fashion, the cabinet rests on its original matching base an important feature that adds stability presence and value. Many surviving examples are missing their base. Manufactured in Sheboygan, Wisconsin this cabinet dates to the mid 20th century. (circa 1950s.)
Finding a complete four stack example with both original base and top is increasingly rare. The Cabinet retains its original finish with honest and appropriate wear, consistent with decades of professional use, while remaining structurally sound, and fully functional.
Drawer inside dimensions are 37.50” Wide x 25” Deep x 2” High.
