Featured within this oval low karated … Read more This vintage miniature portrait of a nineteenth century handsome british gentleman is meticulously rendered. Featured within this oval low karated (9-10k) gold frame is hand painted portrait of a young artistocrat costumed accordingly with the period. Though unsigned, skilled hands accomplished this fine work of art. Back of frame and beneath a beveled glass is an intricate weave of hair embellished with a decorative scrolled gold initials “S.S.” symbolizing his name. Condition is very good with natural wear. Gold has been acid tested.
