This enamel painting exhibits vibrant colors on its costumed subjects. In the scene, and painted with detail, a young French gentleman's wandering hand has made its way under the skirt of a milk maid who is seen pouring milk onto his head & back. Though unsigned, the artist has rendered an enamel painting of high quality. The painting is in excellent condition. The brass box shows some age. The piece is very collectible.
