Antique walnut double bed from the first half of the 19th century, with a boat-shaped frame entirely veneered with thick veneer and decorated with Empire-style motifs, masks within laurel frames, and pyrographed maple inlaid palmettes. The uprights and finials feature vertical threading; the turned and carved tread feet have a dark patina. Inlaid cherubs on the headboard are framed by a carved cornice with two large scrolls.
The antique bed is in good condition, with a splendid original patina and minimal signs of wear consistent with its two centuries of age.
It can be dismantled into four parts. The internal dimensions are 204 x 159 cm. It comes from a private residence where the bedstead rested on very worn and unusable crosspieces, so a custom frame was constructed. The tread has a maximum height of 121.5 cm.
