A richly detailed Burleigh Ware commemorative jug created in 1953 to honor the Coronation of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II at Westminster Abbey. This sculptural pitcher features a deeply relief-molded scene of the Coronation ceremony, complete with robed figures, crowned attendants, architectural detailing, and theatrical drapery.
Hand-painted in classic Burleigh palette—maroon, gold, olive, and stone—the jug displays the distinctive 1950s crackle glaze and sculptural handle marked “E II R” beneath a crown. The underside bears the official Burleigh backstamp and the commemorative inscription.
