Beautiful vintage or antique oil on board painting depicting two sailboats in a substantial and ornately carved gold wood frame. The painting is covered in glass and is a moody and muted scene in creams, reds, soft blues and greens. Lovely in almost any decor.
The painting is in very good condition. The frame is in excellent condition, beautifully carved and loaded with detail. It shows very little wear and makes an elegant statement. Ship decor is always in style. The back side shows the most wear and has an original label and rope hanger. The label reads " Mill'd Boards Prepared for Oil Paintings - Geo. unreadable and Co." The remainder is unreadable.
