This beautifully crafted vintage tallboy dresser was made by Sumter Cabinet Company of South Carolina, part of their well-known Freedom Oak collection. Built in the late 1970s, this piece features classic American traditional styling with carved drawer fronts, solid oak details, and substantial molding that gives the chest a warm, timeless presence.
The dresser offers five spacious drawers, including two sculpted upper drawers with decorative carved motifs and original antique brass hardware. Drawer boxes are solid and well-constructed, gliding smoothly on traditional wood runners. The oak grain is rich and warm throughout, consistent with Sumter’s reputation for durable, high-quality American furniture.
