Menner and noted on the verso a date of 1920. It was purchased at auction recently, and a previous auction record shows it is from the collection of Prince Lorenzo de Medici of Italy, the son of noted art collector Alessandro de Medici, part of the famous historical Medici family. I don't know much about the artist, but can tell from the skill of the rendering that this is a high quality still life, showing a copper tea kettle, a colorful painted teacup, and some fall foliage in front of a textured colored backdrop with a lot of impasto. A previous price tag on the work shows $8000. It is in a nice gold simple frame and ready to hang. The Primary photo is from the auction listing, and the others were taken by me and are truer to the color of the work. See less
