This piece is distinguished by its spectacular elm veneer, which boasts a warm, golden-yellow color and a vibrant grain.

The chest features a gently curved front with three large drawers. The original escutcheons and pull rings, crafted from embossed brass, are finely finished. A charming detail is the interior of the drawers, lined with antique green-striped paper—an authentic feature that underscores the character of the piece.

The chest stands on tapered square legs, which lend it a certain lightness despite its solid construction. A beautiful example of the Scandinavian "Karl Johan" style, the Swedish interpretation of Biedermeier/Empire.
