A striking Neoclassical trumeau-style wall mirror, featuring a richly gilt frame with ornate carvings and a deep green panel that sets off the classical gilt motif beautifully. The crest displays a trophy medallion with crossed torches, draped ribbons, and acanthus foliage, a design rooted in French Empire and Louis XVI iconography — grand, ceremonial, and undeniably elegant.
Crafted by Decorative Arts Inc. (Miami, Florida), this piece combines old-world styling with vintage American craftsmanship. The gilt frame features beaded and running floral borders, egg-and-dart molding, and a tall architectural profile. A generous mirror plate below provides excellent reflection and scale, making this a statement piece for an entryway, dining room, above a console, or as dramatic bedroom decor.
The tone of the gold leaf finish has a warm aged patina, adding depth and authenticity. Some expected wear to the gilding and a few chips to the foliate relief (photographed), consistent with vintage age and contributing to character.
