The drawer originally had … Read more Nice antique American Federal period pine blanket chest with 1 drawer. Chest was made about 1810-1820. The drawer originally had 2 single wooden knobs. You can see the outline of where they were in the second and third photos. The brass pulls are typically historically correct but not original. The hinges are original as is all of the blocking behind the feet. Chest was probably originally painted and was refinished probably in the 1960's or 1970's. Chest does have a dark stain on the back left side of the top as can be seen in the photos. Drawer shows dovetail construction as expected. Nice basically original blanket chest ready to use. Chest is 41 1/2" wide and 17 1/4" deep and it stands 31 1/4" tall. See less
