the radius pendant is a sculptural, multi-layered danish modern light designed by erik balslev for fog & mørup in the 1970s. The model was honoured with the if product design award in 1977, confirming its importance within fog & mørup’s late-modern design period.

the lamp’s profile subtly references fog & mørup’s iconic semi pendant: the curve of the main shade and the refined, tapered top cap echo the semi’s instantly recognisable silhouette. Balslev expanded this essential form by adding three additional floating layers, carefully arranged to reflect and diffuse light softly across the underside of the pendant. When illuminated, radius produces a warm, graduated glow characteristic of fog & mørup’s best multi-shade designs.

this example is the radius i version, measuring 47 cm in diameter and designed for 100w max. It is finished in brown, beige and kaki colour combination and remains in excellent vintage condition with only minimal signs of gentle use. The original paper fog & mørup label has been “cleaned” off.
fitted with a black fabric cable (120 cm) and a new ceiling canopy. Uses a standard edison screw bulb (not included).
