Its design is defined by a primitive elegance, featuring a rectangular top that rests on two sturdy, natural log supports. The form draws inspiration from traditional Japanese display stands, or kadai, creating a grounded platform that elevates whatever is placed upon it with a sense of quiet reverence. The table's most captivating feature is the dramatic natural contrast in the wood. A distinct, dark band of heartwood runs through the center of the creamy, light sapwood, creating a bold, graphic stripe that visually anchors the piece. The surface is smoothed to perfection, allowing this natural bi-color pattern to take center stage, while the edges retain a touch of their organic, hand hewn character.
