Across the entire surface – inside and out – runs hand-painted calligraphy in black ink.

Dimensions: height 15 cm, diameter 29 cm.

The basket has a tall, slightly flaring bowl shape with a soft, irregular rim. The layers of paper follow the structure of the weaving and show beautiful traces of use: small creases, colour variations and ink stains that together create a rich, lively surface.

In a contemporary interior this basket works as a striking yet calm object: ideal as a bowl for fruit, dried flowers or seasonal decoration, or simply left empty on a table or sideboard as a sculptural eye-catcher.
