A late 18th-century French giltwood mirror in the Louis XVI style, topped by a striking crest centred on a gadrooned urn with square handles, framed by flowers, graceful leaves and ribbons. The sides of the frame are adorned with tassels, while laurel leaves highlight the lower edge. The original mirror plate shows attractive foxing and is surrounded by a classical beaded frieze.
