This country house furniture is made in northern Sweden around 1850, there is a dating on the back “1848” and a goods label from a village called Vallsta. The desk is fitted with multiple small drawers. Original first layer of paint from the 1800s, the paint on the outside is worn with time and the pine underneath shines through in places. The lower section has double doors and an interior with shelves. Made by hand in solid pine, healthy and stable frame. The hinges to the doors have been replaced during the early 1900s. Working lock and key. Height to the desk top is 78 cm. Depth is 50 and 26.5 cm respectively. See less
