This vintage 6x8 Persian kilim is a mid-century Qashqai tribal rug, handwoven in wool circa 1950-1960.
This type of Kilim remarks a Jajim-style flat weave, in which tribal weavers would combine smaller pieces into one. The design enjoys a beige colorway with rich brown stripes and a fine red accent on the outer border. It's a simple, comfortable piece from a time-honored traditional style with vast minimalist appeal and rustic charm.
This mid-century Qashqai Persian Jajim-Kilim further enjoys good condition for its age and origin.
