Desk Lamp in Casted Iron, Steel and Ribbed Aluminium, France, 1960's A beautiful and architectural desk lamp with a bit … Read more Desk Lamp in Casted Iron, Steel and Ribbed Aluminium, France, 1960's A beautiful and architectural desk lamp with a bit of an industrial character, quite a large size and an interesting combination of various coloured metal types. The lampshade is mounted on two slightly curved stainless-steel tubes on a heavy base consisting of covered cast iron. These tubes can be rotated 180 degrees in relation to the base. The most characteristic element of this lamp is the lampshade, consisting of three different rounded parts of casted and ribbed aluminum, finished with an elegant gray-green lacquer. The fluorescent light is nicely distributed and thus providing a practically illuminated surface. The sides of the shades are quite graphic, and are nicely constructed / mounted. The light is a long tube, which are still widely available in the market. The lamp really serves its purpose: giving a lot of light, nicely shining down under a larger angle because of its height (82cm). The foor of the lamp has a very nice organic brown / green / swamp / patinated painted colour. The photos give a good view on it, we did not change anything on the colours / light in photoshop or so.
