a truly lovely set of 5 vintage thonet no. 18 chairs.
note: this set consist of 2+3 slightly different chairs. The bentwood construction underneath the seat comes in two variations. See the pictures.

these chairs were produced in the 1970/80's by zpm radomsko in poland.
radomsko originally was a real thonet factory founded around 1900. When communism came to poland, the factory was expropriated and nationalised and named zpm radomsko. But they kept on producing the original thonet-designs using the famous thonet-machines to steam and bend the beechwood.

the chairs are in excellent vintage condition. Some really minor wear and tear, but all according to its age, adding to the already wonderful patina.
on all chairs the lovely lightweight construction is perfect, and the cane webbing seats also excellent. This piece has an attribution mark,
