made of solid mahogany, entirely veneered in walnut burl with rosewood marquetry inlays on all elements: drawer fronts, cupboard fronts, sides, and the mirror frame. Solid bronze mounts signed j.p. (registered).
the buffet features three doors and three drawers, with a large white marble top veined with brown. Above it is a beautiful oval beveled mirror with a bronze pediment in the form of a rampant eagle.
the uprights of the piece form a quarter circle, finished with a bronze drop framing the drawers.
the drawers are fitted with attractive bronze handles with leaf motifs. The cupboard doors have original, functional locks with beautifully decorated keyhole escutcheons. One key is included. Four louis xvi style tapered front legs with bronze sabots: solid support.
buffet dimensions (excluding mirror): 128 cm wide, 114 cm high, 52 cm deep.
mercury mirror: 97/43 cm.
bronze eagle pediment: 35 x 12 x 10 cm.
interior cupboard dimensions: 127 cm wide, 71 cm high, 36 cm deep. Signed "l.p. Déposée" on the back of the bronze mounts. See less
