Aldo Londi for Bitossi Rimini Blu Ceramic Plant Centaur Sculpture, Italy, 1960s
Exceptionally rare and very large Mid-Century Italian design ceramic sculpture, made by Aldo Londi for Bitossi in the 1960s.
This magnificent piece, measuring an impressive 41cm (16.4") high, 48cm (18.8") wide, and 18.5cm (7.2") deep, is the largest size available in the series, making it an even more special find.
Designed and manufactured in Italy in the 1960s, this ceramic beauty is a true embodiment of Bitossi's high-quality craftsmanship. A true collectors piece.
The sculpture is in excellent condition, testament to its age. The vibrant blues and greens are as luminous today as when first crafted, and there are no visible chips, cracks, or restorations. Please note that any vintage item will have minor signs of wear, consistent with their age and use. I have official proof of authenticity such as vintage catalogs,
designer records,
or other literature sources and take full responsibility for any authenticity issues arising
from
misattribution
