Stunning and authentic 1960s–early 1970s Modeline of California walnut and textured “crushed ice” blue glass cylinder table lamp. Iconic mid-century modern design with that classic Modeline look: solid walnut body with routed cut-outs revealing thick, heavily textured aqua/blue glass panels that glow beautifully when lit. The glass has the signature “pebbled” or “ice cube” texture that Modeline was famous for.
Original Underwriters Laboratories portable lamp tag still attached (Issue No. 81101, Modeline Co. Inc.)
Original parchment-style fiberglass shade in excellent condition (a few tiny nicks typical of age, but no holes or major stains)
Original brown bakelite plug and cloth cord in perfect working order
Brass rod and hardware throughout
Felted bottom (green felt, typical Modeline)
Total height with shade and finial: 37"
Base diameter: ~7.5"
Shade: 16" diameter at bottom, 10" top, 13" height
When turned on, the lamp casts a gorgeous turquoise glow through the glass panels while the shade gives off a warm ambient light – the perfect combination of mood and function that makes these Modeline pieces so sought-after.
Excellent vintage condition. Wood has been gently cleaned and oiled; glass is intact with no chips or cracks. Rewired? No – still has its original safe 1960s wiring that tests perfectly and includes the original UL tag. Ready to plug in and enjoy immediately.
A true statement piece for any mid-century modern, Danish modern, or Hollywood Regency interior. Looks incredible on a walnut credenza, teak side table, or next to an Eames lounge chair.

Excellent vintage condition for this mid-century modern Modeline lamp. Original walnut base shows beautiful natural patina consistent with age. All textured blue glass inlays are pristine with no chips or cracks. Original fabric shade in warm orange-tan hue is in very good condition with minimal wear. Fully functional electrical components. A beautiful example of Modeline craftsmanship from their peak era of production.
