A rare pair of modernist bronze owls in the brutalist style by the American sculptor Don Budy of Michigan, IL and Carmel, CA. Both feature acrylic ball eyes and brazed elements. The smaller owl also features a pierced enameled panel at the breast.
The taller owl, measuring 16" high, 9" wide, 6" deep, is signed and dated 1964. The smaller owl is unmarked and measures 8.25" high, 5.5" wide, 4" deep.
