An authentic Knoll Womb Chair & Ottoman, standard size, designed by Eero Saarinen in 1948 and produced by Knoll circa early–mid 2000s. This example retains its original factory upholstery in Knoll’s Classic Bouclé (Chartreuse), one of the most iconic and enduring textiles ever introduced by the brand.
The chair features Saarinen’s sculptural fiberglass-reinforced shell and polished chrome rod base, with patina consistent with age. All original Knoll certification tags remain intact beneath the seat, confirming authenticity.
Comfortable, enveloping, and instantly recognizable, the Womb Chair is a landmark of modern design—and original upholstery examples in vibrant Knoll fabrics are increasingly scarce.
