The Philco Predicta, introduced in 1958, was a groundbreaking television known for its futuristic design and detachable swivel screen. Advertised as the "TV of Tomorrow" with its space-age aesthetic. The Predicta was designed to be different, with a futuristic, space-age look. It features a detachable swivel screen to allow flexible viewing angles.
The design was influenced by the optimism surrounding the "space race" following the Sputnik launch. It remains a classic, celebrated for its unique design and influence on later television sets.
