Dimensions: height 80 cm, width 48 cm, depth 27 cm.

The tapered shape fits neatly against the back; on the reverse are two strong ropes that once served as shoulder straps.

The basket is constructed from wide boards with a beautiful grain pattern, knots and old nail holes. The wood has aged deeply through years of outdoor use and has developed a rich, dark tone. Softly worn edges and small irregularities and marks clearly tell the story of many years of work in fields and villages.

In an interior this object takes on a completely different role. Its tall, slender form makes it an ideal styling piece: filled with large branches, dried grasses, bamboo poles, umbrellas or rolled-up drawings, it becomes a striking sculptural element in the room.
