This three-drawer Biedermeier chest of drawers, dating from around 1840, is an impressive masterpiece of craftsmanship and an outstanding example of the elegance of this era. Recently renovated and hand-polished with shellac, the chest of drawers captivates with its harmonious design and exquisite walnut veneer. The front, sides, and top are adorned with a spectacular, continuous walnut veneer that creates a unified, flowing image across all three drawers. This veneer lends the chest of drawers a warm, vibrant character and underscores the mastery of craftsmanship of that period. The brass fittings complement the look with a delicate, elegant touch and emphasize the luxurious character of the piece.
