This table is particularly distinguished by its ingenious mortise and tenon joinery, which facilitates assembly and ensures durability. The sturdy, splayed legs in solid oak are connected by a horizontal crossbar, reinforcing the overall stability. This piece has a beautiful patina; the oak, with its slightly honeyed hue, bears some charming traces of time after 80 years of use by its owner. This table remained in the Norman family to whom it was given after the war. The piece is remarkably well preserved. It has been fully restored with respect for its unique character.
