A fine vintage gold & jade charm for bracelet (or pendant).
In 14 karat yellow gold.
With a bezel-set Alaskan jade (nephrite) cabochon to the base.
In the form of 3 people performing a blanket toss (called 'Nalukataq' in the Inuit languages) in which a large group of people work together using the blanket to toss a person in the air (sometimes as high as 10-20 feet.)
The traditional blanket toss is a celebratory occasion, and the Nalukataq festival traditionally marks the end of the spring whaling season. The blanket toss is also a perennial event at the WEIO (World Eskimo-Indian Olympics).
