At 14.5 inches tall and 13 inches wide, these have substantial presence and are ideal for flanking artwork, mirrors, or doorways—or anchoring a dramatic gallery wall.

These shelves date to the mid-20th century (1950s–1970s) and are classic examples of Italian decorative giltwood from this era. They are crafted from carved wood with gessoed ornamentation and finished in a traditional Italian gold gilt surface. The finish has the warm, layered patina expected of true vintage giltwood.

The shelf surfaces show light scuffs, and there is minor wear to the gilding, all very typical for authentic mid-century Italian gilt pieces and only adding to their charm.
