this iconic 80’s design by robert sonneman (1943, ny) for lighting manufacturer george kovacs has a nice space age feel to it.

the ufo shaped lamp has an o- base (with black felt to avoid scratches on your table top) with dimmer, rods in matte black with a thick glass plate on top, below this is a matte black plate, small glass plate and of course the halogen bulb.
on top of the glass plate is black metal mesh with a domed cover plate.

due to the thick glass and built-in dimmer, this lamp provides very atmospheric, diffused light.
this particular version, in matte black and excellent condition, is not easy to find.
an exclusive, iconic eye-catcher!

condition: the lamp works properly and is in an excellent vintage condition with minor signs of use/age. No chips or damages on the glass plate.
there is 1 clip of the small glass plate replaced, but this is only visible when looking from below.
this piece is attributed to the mentioned designer/maker. It has no attribution mark and no
official proof of authenticity,
however it is well documented in design history. I take full responsibility for any authenticity
