The true challenge lies in the art of making the oil resonate on the canvas without altering its intensity or sensuality. Here, there is no haste: each stroke asserts itself with mastery and breath. These are the key words of this series, from which emerges a certain force, both restrained and voluptuous. Black becomes a mirror—one is reflected in it, one loses oneself in it.
The oil, under the gaze, becomes a tactile material. It softens any aggression, even when the gesture, sure and unwavering, asserts its power.
